These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Chatelain application and this website (together, “Chatelain”). By using Chatelain, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
Chatelain is a private household-management application operated by an individual for personal and family use. It is not a public commercial service, and it is provided to a single household and its invited members.
You agree to use Chatelain only for its intended purpose — organizing and managing information about your own household — and only with accounts and data you are authorized to use. You agree not to misuse, disrupt, reverse-engineer for malicious purposes, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the application or the data of others.
You are responsible for the accounts you connect to Chatelain and for keeping your own devices and credentials secure. Chatelain’s handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
Chatelain may connect to third-party services you authorize, such as Google. Your use of those services remains subject to their own terms and policies. Chatelain is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services.
Chatelain is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any reminder, deadline, or piece of information it surfaces will be complete or accurate. You remain responsible for your own decisions, deadlines, and obligations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chatelain and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, Chatelain.
We may modify or discontinue Chatelain, or update these Terms, at any time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
